We should not fear AI but rather our addiction to fast. It is decision made out of a desire to show fast impact, action on AI and a reduction in cost that result in lay-offs, not AI as a technology. We have a choice in this. We can choose behavour change, using the freed up time to invest in things that matter to deliver long-term growth. But we need courage to do so. Human first is not the fast path but it is the right path.

So we dim our light. We stop doing what’s right, for the business, for the team, for the customer, for ourselves, because we don’t see the point. We resign. Sometimes silently, still showing up but already halfway gone. Sometimes loudly, when we finally walk away.
