Contemplating Well-Being

Hey my lovely,
I would love to share something with you that I’ve been experimenting with, reflecting and contemplating on, in the hope that it might inspire and open your perspective of what it could be for you and what are all the things that might be valuable to you and contribute to you being your fabulous, unique, powerful self.
WELL-BEING, I know a now very much talked about subject, but what actually does it really mean, what does it mean to me, what does it feel like to me to BE WELL? What does it mean to you and feel like for you?? I am super curious what it means to you and how you experience WELL-BEING and would love to hear from you and your perspective.
I remember when the word was first introduced into my world and I just thought it had to do with my physical health. If I don’t have any illnesses, physical pain internally or externally, I considered myself to be ok, I was fine. I was WELL. Since then my understanding of the word or experience of WELL-BEING has changed and expanded quite a bit.
Thanks to all the information out there and a more open conversation about WELL-BEING we have a much broader understanding of what it means on all the different levels, no longer just addressing the physical health, but also our mental well-being, emotional well-being, spiritual well-being, financial well-being, environmental well-being. And yes there can be too much information out there, advising us of this and that or selling us the next best health trend or superfood or diet that apparently works wonders for our WELL-BEING. Sometimes it's overwhelming and too much or confusing as one study says one thing and another says something else… and we are also all very differently designed and what might work for one doesn’t necessarily work for another or for all. So how can WE, each and everyone of us feel WELL, feel energised, feel happy and healthy, feel at peace, fulfilled, satisfied, recognised and in our natural flow and WELL-BEING??
How do we come back to ourselves, our senses, trusting ourselves, because let’s be real and take full ownership, how could anyone else possibly know what is actually best for us??? Only WE know, there is only one us, no one else is like us, no one ever will be like us. So yes there can be suggestions made, perspectives given, knowledge shared and advice given, but ultimately we have to experiment and experience things for ourselves to really know what works best for us and what feels good to us in our body.
What are the things we measure BEING WELL or WELL-BEING by, how do we listen, how can we really feel into what feels right for us?
It's been a beautiful personal journey and adventure of mine and something I’ve been involved in and passionate about for the last 20 years or so. With my background in sports therapy, sports nutrition, sports psychology, reiki, shamanic healing, meditation, mindfulness, exercise, trying out and learning so many things all about the human body and mind, helping people with healing their body, minds and spirit. And it keeps on going, I am exploring and Being curious, finding out what works well for me and what doesn’t so much.
Having this amazing option to do my work remotely, has been such a blessing. So I decided to try out different things and experiment. For example, living in a different climate and country for a while, changing my environment, from living in the city, in London to living in the countryside, commuting, walking more instead of driving everywhere, spending time in Thailand, in a warm climate during the winter month, spending time in my own energy (aura) and seeing how being with people feels, sleeping alone or with someone, living in my camper van, eating when I am hungry, not when it's TIME to eat, listening to what I want to eat, not just what is healthy, stop when I’m full, even if there is one bite left on my plate, just noticing what feels good, what or who gives me energy, what depletes my energy, when is it time to rest, what does rest looks like to me, when do I have energy to do, when to be, when to be on my own, when to be sociable and lots more…
Experimenting and learning through different tools and techniques gave me a much clearer idea what my well being entails and what influences how I feel.
Over the upcoming articles I’m going to share a bit more insights of those findings and perhaps it could be an invitation and inspiration for you also to experiment and try out different, simple things and see if they make a difference to your WELL-BEING and understanding yourself a little more, trusting your own judgment, your body and intuition and feeling WELL, so you can fully shine your light and be your fabulous, powerful, magnetic you.
